Solent Dolphin is a Registered Charity (no. 900604) with a Management Committee and a Board of Directors. It is this latter committee which organises and runs all aspects of the M/V ALISON MacGREGOR’s operations. All Skippers are qualified and crew undergo refresher training annually to ensure the safe operation of the boat.
Solent Dolphin is financially self-supporting through all the generous donations from many organisations and benefactors, in particular the local Rotary and Lions Clubs.
In addition, we are very grateful to Marina Developments Limited, who kindly provide berthing and storage facilities free of charge.
Without all this support we would not be able to give the pleasure to the many people with disabilities that we are able to.
The M/V Alison MacGregor is a purpose-built catamaran for 12 passengers including carers’.
